Comeback Story

Kaya's Return After a Cruciate Ligament Injury

A cruciate ligament injury and a thigh strain in soccer can put everything on hold overnight. Even for Kaya, who plays in the district league, it quickly became clear after her injury: It’s not just about being pain-free again, but about returning to the field feeling secure, strong, and with renewed confidence. At REHAFABRIK, we gave it our all to help Kaya make her comeback after her cruciate ligament injury.

THERAPEUTIC GOAL

Pain-free in everyday life. Back on the field, strong, confident, and with greater self-assurance.

DURATION OF THERAPY

12 months

Therapeutic focus:

Together, we worked to gradually reintroduce Kaya to the physical demands of her sport. This process was based on evidence-based criteria, structured therapy management, and regular performance assessments.

Throughout the entire rehabilitation process, the focus was on rebuilding strength, stability, and confidence in her own body—with a clear goal in mind: a return to competition (RTC).

After about a year, Kaya successfully passed her RTC tests and was able to return to the soccer field with full motivation and newfound self-confidence.

“I spent over a year at REHAFABRIK and always felt very comfortable there thanks to the great team and the wonderful atmosphere. The environment constantly motivates you to stay active and keep improving. Setbacks are acknowledged, and we work together to come back stronger. At the same time, you’re supported on your personal journey, and even small steps forward are recognized. That’s exactly what helped me stick with it and return to the field step by step.”
